DIY Time! Do It Yourself Lotion! ಥ◡ಥ

So I was rolling around in bed while life passed me by and I thought to myself, I could use a good natural lotion! So I wobbled to my computer and scrounged around for some Cocoa ButterYellow Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, and Vitamin E Oil and got cookin!

I first started by using a double broiler and put my Cocoa and Shea butters in to melt on a low temperature. Once they melted I took it off the stove and added in Coconut oil, Vitamin E, and some Almond oil!
(A double boiler consists of a bowl placed on top of a pan of simmering water. The bowl does not touch the water, but creates a seal with the bottom pan to trap the steam produced by the simmering water.

For measurements I just kind of eyeballed it I just placed chunks of the butters in the bowl and plopped out how ever much of the oils I saw fit so just do you and put what you like the most in it at what ever measurement you prefer!

Once everything was done I poured it into left over containers I had used and cleaned out and placed them into the fridge to solidify. Now I took them out a lil early because I didn't want it too hard and I'm glad I took it out because its the perfect consistency for me. This stuff melts right in the palm of my hands it goes on great and feels amazing and smells like really dark chocolate which is a plus to me! Now if you don't like the harsh smell you can find unscented Cocoa butter and buy a different kind of Shea butter as well.

Now a friendly warning, using the yellow Shea butter will leave residue sometimes especially if you wear white and rub it on and quickly put clothes on! So pat dry or let it fully absorb into your skin if you are going to use yellow Shea.

I recommend everyone take a spin at making their own lotion! It's fun, easy, inexpensive, and best of all you know exactly what's going into and onto your skin!

I hope this was helpful to you!
As always good vibes until next time~ ôヮô
